Dr. Sreelakshmi holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Kerala, where her doctoral research focused on “Multi-Model Machine Learning Approaches for Landslide Identification and Quantitative Risk Analysis.” She earned her M.Phil. in Computer Science, specializing in Digital Image Processing, from the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management–Kerala (IIITM-K), affiliated with Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). She also holds M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Computer Science from Kannur University, along with an M.A. in Psychology from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi, India. Her interdisciplinary academic background enables her to bridge advanced computational techniques with human-centered and socially relevant applications. Dr. Sreelakshmi’s research interests lie in advanced machine learning, computer vision, geospatial analytics, and AI-driven solutions for social good. She has authored several high-impact research publications, including 10 Q1 journal articles, 3 Q2 journal articles, numerous international conference papers, and book chapters. Her work has contributed significantly to the application of machine learning for disaster risk assessment, environmental monitoring, and sustainable development.
